NBC greenlights two pilots
NBC has given greenlights to two pilots, both from sibling Universal Media Studios. Among them is hourlong "The Cape," which comes from Universal and BermanBraun. Written by Thomas Wheeler, drama focuses on a former cop who is set up as a criminal and decides to become a masked hero to clear his name and reunite with his son. Read about it here!!!
CW greenlights 'Nikita' remake
The CW has given a greenlight to its updated take on "La Femme Nikita." Also Wednesday, the Dub netlet picked up a drama pilot from "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. And ABC said yes to a family comedy pilot from Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, while Fox picked up a comedy pilot from Imagine TV about the I.R.S. With its titled shortened to just "Nikita," the new take follows what happens when the original Nikita goes rogue -- and a replacement is brought in. Read about it here!
